K, I wrote this tutorial a life time ago - no pickies, sorry.
Just follow through it and it will help you create what is known as a Chrome Effect - really simple and if done properly gives a nice sheen to accents on your products.
This walk through was made for wallpaper sized image backgrounds but it can be done using ANY size project. So give it a shot and see what you can come up with. I used to have a blast using this technique when I first started out with Photoshop. Takes all of five minutes once you get used to it.
First, make a new project, 1024x768
Create a new layer
Fill -> Black ( we will call this layer 1 copy)
Next, Filter -> Render -> Lensflare
Now do this 4-7 more times depending on how much detail you want, each time moving the lense around to a new area.
Now, Filter - > Scetch - Chrome - settings at 6, 0
Next, Image -> Adjustments -> Hue/Stauration - > Check colorize.
Now, just move everything around till you get the color you want.
Once that is done, duplicate layer. ( layer 1 copy 2)
On your top layer - Filter -> Distort wave. Click random a few times till you get something you like.
Now duplicate Layer 1 copy and move it to the top. (Layer 1 Copy 3 )
Next Filter -> Artistic -> Under painting.
Set Layer 1 copy 2 blending options to screen and Layer 1 copy 3 blending options to overlay.
Ta-da!
